Trustees Wanted

Wanted! New Trustees

Three trustees have stepped down from the Arts Taunton Board over the past six months including Amy Bere, CEO of the Brewhouse who has moved to a new post at Nottingham Trent university and our founder, Kit Chapman, who has served on the Board since its inception in 2014. We pay homage to his contribution elsewhere in this newsletter.

We are now looking for enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for the arts to join our Board. We are particularly interested to receive expressions of interest from individuals with an established track record in the broad field of arts and culture. That could be as an artist, curator, manager, facilitator – anything that involves working with artists or arts organisations. Applications from women, younger people, minority groups and individuals with an educational background are especially welcome.

The role is entirely voluntary. The Board meets 6 times a year. But as well as contributing to Board discussions and decisions, what we really want is volunteers with the time and energy to help deliver our projects – on Tyca, public art and our garden town role; and/or to help with fundraising.

It is a great opportunity to get involved, to meet new people, to work with our wide range of partners and to contribute to the development of arts and culture in Taunton and the surrounding area.

If you are interested, please do get in touch by emailing [email protected] I will be more than happy to have a discussion with you to tell you more about what we do and how you might get involved.
